Description
Three equal-section wound cores are formed from grain-oriented silicon steel strip and assembled into a symmetrical triangular (3D) structure. The three magnetic paths are identical, so flux is balanced, no-load loss and no-load current are low, and running noise is reduced. The compact 3D arrangement raises the cross-section fill factor and helps keep transformer size and weight down.
• Symmetrical three-phase magnetic circuit — balanced reluctance, low no-load loss
• Low noise operation
• High fill factor — compact triangular layout saves space
• Any size — window height, centre distance and cross-section made to your drawing
• Optional processes — stress-relief annealing, coating
Typical applications: oil-immersed and dry-type distribution transformers, compact substations.
