Why annealing after cutting matters
Mechanical cutting distorts the crystal lattice near the cut, increasing hysteresis loss. A stress-relief anneal in a controlled atmosphere restores permeability and loss close to the original strip values — typically recovering most of the loss increase caused by cutting.
What we control
Atmosphere, holding temperature, cooling rate and fixture shape (to prevent distortion). Batch records are kept for traceability.
FAQ
Can you anneal cores we cut ourselves?
Yes, for compatible materials — send samples and we will confirm the process and expected property recovery.
